A picture is worth 1,000 words

In this picture, Neil Armstrong is the first man to ever set foot on the moon. He was apart of the Apollo 11 launch, which took place on July 16, 1969. He went to the moon along with two other men, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. The president of the Unites States at the time of this landing was Richard Nixon. But this overall mission completed John F. Kennedey's goal of going to the moon by the end of the 1960's.
